Baked Egg Bread Bowl


  • Healthy Loaf Round Roll/s
  • x3 pieces of shaved ham/preferred deli meat per roll
  • x1 egg per roll
  • ¼ cup of grated cheese
  • Sprinkle  of chopped parsley


Preheat your oven to 160°

Slice the top off a Healthy Loaf round roll (we’ve used white but multiseed would be great also)

Line a baking tray with baking paper and place the roll/s on the tray don’t forget to sit the ‘lid’ you sliced off bread side up so it can toast

Pull the centre out but you don’t want to remove too much, only about 1.5-2cm deep

Line the inside of your roll with your favourite shaved ham. Alternatively you could like with washed baby spinach and diced capsicum.

Crack an egg in the middle of the roll

Top with some grated cheese and place in the oven until the egg is cooked how you like it (between 5-10 mins approximately) keep an eye on the ‘lids’ they won’t take very long to toast!

Season with salt and pepper to taste and sprinkle some fresh chopped parsley on top. Generously butter the bread lid and serve it all piping hot with a side of your favourite relish.
